Robertson, Montagu and Stellenbosch, along the West Coast in Velddrif and in the

HISTORY AND ETHOS
Falck Muller Baard was founded on
1 March 2000 following the dissolution of Muller Baard, a firm founded in 1950.
Since 2005 we trade under the name and style of FALCK ATTORNEYS.
Our philosophy is to
utilise the strengths of our long established firm in such a manner that
traditional
values are not lost but are
applied innovatively in the current market place.
Our corporate philosophy is based
on four values i.e:
diligence,
honesty,
teamwork,
thankfulness.
These four values form the
foundation of our service and excellence.
We believe that we must
also be involved on community and cultural levels. In this regard:

Graeme Falck has served as Chairman of a Development Forum, a Business
Chamber and a Sports Club.

Melanie Zeeman has for
several years served as secretary for the circle of attorneys of the Boland
district.

Nicolene Leidig was
involved in administration of equestrian sport at national level.

The firm publishes articles in
local newspapers from time to time.

The staff are actively involved in
sport and the firm sponsors clubs, organizations and schools on an ongoing
level.

involved in their respective churches and, where applicable, also the
schools their children attend.

If any particular attorney is
unavailable for whatever reason, the other attorneys are always available to

Each attorney is, in his/her
respective office, assisted by efficient secretaries, filing clerks
and messengers.
We have a very effective accounts department with the appropriate computer
programs to manage our firm completely.

In summary we deliver services in

Litigation
- We attend to
all forms of litigation, in both the Magistrate's and High Courts.

Collections -
Collections of matters such as
credit transactions, bonds, sureties, overdrawn accounts,
personal loans, are
effectively attended to. We have a huge advantage to deliver this service
effectively in that we co-operate with a company that is a member of the Falck
Group, known as FMB Investigations. FMB Investigations deliver services by
personal visits to debtors to obtain consents to garnishee orders, do financial
investigations, tracing of debtors, repossessions, collection of payments and
assistance to sheriffs. We are effectively rendering collection services for our
national clients throughout the whole of the Western Cape.

Insolvencies -
Liquidations, sequestrations,
rehabilitations and administrations form a substantial part of our workload.

Property - We have a
strong conveyancing department involved in transfers, bonds, developments, etc.
Our Cape Town office attend to lodging of deeds at the Deeds Office.

Commercial Law -
We render this service that
consists mostly of the drafting, negotiating and finalising of commercial
agreements to most of our corporate clients.

Administration of Estates -
Because of the history
of the firm, we attend to several deceased estates.

Labour Law - Our firm
attend to all the various aspects of labour law.

Auctioneers - As part and
parcel of our history, this firm has over several decades, established itself as
auctioneers of real estate, movable property and live stock. Lately we also
employ the services of an independent contractor for this service.

Appraisers - The firm do
appraising of property for deceased and insolvent estates as well as for Tax
purposes.

MAGISTERIAL DISTRICTS
We are active in the magisterial
districts of the Cape Peninsula, Boland, Overberg and West Coast. Dependent on
volumes, this facility may also be extended to other magisterial districts.

ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
We are firmly committed to the
empowerment of and transfer of skills to the previously disadvantaged persons
and communities.
We have
three
women as attorneys and two black men.
Presently, we have 19 women
and 6 black administrative staff members.
We are continuously aware
of the need to empower the previously disenfranchised communities and therefore
are striving continuously to create opportunities in this regard. We are
further in a continual process of transfer of skills and training. Sponsorships
and training courses are from time to time made available without cost to our
Black staff members. On a professional level, we continuously render free
services to members of the previously disenfranchised communities in selected
instances. We also endeavor to support BEE with our procurement policies.

NEGOTIATION AND STANDARDISING OF
FEES
We strive to enter into specific
fee arrangements with clients in order to obviate any misunderstanding and
unhappiness in this regard. High volume collections are administered on
computer. The fee structure applicable to this type of collections is contained
in the annexure hereto; Complicated and defended matters are charged for on a
time basis, the applicable tariff depending on the profile of the matter and the
seniority of the person attending to the matter, which ranges between R400,00
and R800,00 per hour.
Conveyance related matters are
charged as per the guidelines of the Cape Law Society.

REPORTING
Progress reports are furnished to the client in the form and manner in which the
client requires same.
In this regard, the client's
requirements are met as far as is practically possible.
